Brendan Taylor leaves Notts and returns to Zimbabwe

Former national team captain Brendan Taylor has quit Nottinghamshire and returned to Zimbabwe for what ‘family reasons’.

His contract was meant to finish at the end of the season but he was granted permission to leave early.

He said:

But being away from my wife and children has proven to be very difficult for me and I have reached a point in my life where I must consider their needs

Taylor won the Royal London One Day Cup and the Natwest T20 Blast titles this year.

The expectation is that he will sign an international contract for Zimbabwe and could turn out for the Chevrons in the upcoming test series against West Indies.
