Zimbabwe international and Mamelodi Sundowns forward Khama Billiat will learn today if he is the pick for the best player based on the continent at the Glo CAF Awards ceremony set for Abuja, Nigeria.
Billiat had a brilliant year for both the national side helping them to a qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in over a decade and then winning the coveted CAF African Champions League with Masandawana.
He is up against club teammate Dennis Onyango from Uganda and TP Mazembe’s Rainford Kalaba.
A win for Billiat will be the icing on the cake and should he lose, he will consider himself unlucky especially after the campaign he has had.
