We caught up with new Zimbabwe cricket captain Hamilton Masakadza on the eve of the team leaving for the World Twenty2o in India.
On being out of the team and now captain:
It was a bit of a roller coaster
On the new form
I didn’t try to change too much. I felt I was striking the ball well. I just wasn’t getting the results. I thought it was a matter of time before I turned the corner.
On Marvan Attapatu’s influence:
It is always good to hear from such a strong cricketing brain.
On his style of captaincy
I will bring an attacking sense to the side. I will bring a bit of a calm effect in the team.
