Zimbabwean star batsman Brendan Taylor talked to media after his final game for the country in which he scored 138 for 110 balls.
He talked about the freedom of playing in Saturday’s loss to India in the final group match. Taylor leaves for Nottinghamshire on a Kolpak deal which means he will not be able to play for Zimbabwe for at least three years, while his contract runs.
Taylor became the first Zimbabwean to score back-to-back hundreds in a World Cup tournament.
On what he will miss about playing for Zimbabwe he says it is wearing the red shirt and playing for the country.
Of the teammates he leaves behind Taylor said:
I’ll miss my teammates and the camaraderie, I wouldn’t change the 11 years I had for anything,
All the best to Brendan. We will miss you. Listen to his interview in full below.
