AS YOU WERE: SuperSport lands IPL rights again

After the bad news that SuperSport was not going to get the Indian Premier League, it is back again.

SuperSport said, “STATEMENT: Following updated conversations, DStv can confirm that all IPL matches will be broadcast on SuperSport, starting today. All 74 matches of the tournament will be broadcast live, starting with the Gujurat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings (DStv channel 212) at 16:00 (CAT)”

It is channel 232 for Zimbabwe and the Rest Of Africa.

The broadcaster had on Thursday announced that Zimbabwean viewers would miss out on star allrounder Sikandar Raza’s debut as he turns out for Punjab Kings.

“We are very happy to have reached an agreement to continue our partnership with the IPL that extends back to the inaugural event in 2008,” said Marc Jury, chief executive of SuperSport.
