7 reasons he will not marry you | Three Men On a Boat

So you’re in this relationship and it looks like it is a whole vibe.

A lot of things seem to be falling into place and all that. You schedules seem to be in sync and you have friends who you have put into the same universe.

The next seems to be marriage, and yet he won’t marry you.

We have seven reasons why he won’t marry you.

1. He is still enjoying being single

This is a big one. In fact we could have stopped here but there are more reasons why people do not want to get married. Many men prefer being single. This is evident particularly in men in their late 30s into their 40s. They like the way their world is and they do not want to change it.

2. This is as far as he will commit because there is nothing more

If he cane get company, sex and you might even weekends over. You might even live together. So he just feels there is nothing more to do. This is not to say he is not the marrying type, as we have heard numerous stories of a man living with a woman for 8 years, breaking up with them and marrying someone else in a year.

3. There is noone else to be with

Yep. You are there. You are not a bad person. But he is keeping you around until what he wants comes along.

4. He doesn’t see a wife in you

The good ol’ wife material flag comes up again. He may see you for what he likes about you right now but he just doesn’t think you as a wife. You could be the fun girl he feels he can’t take over to his mom.

5. He is immature

This one is another biggie. He still wants to have a bunch of fun and go to where the kids play. He has not gotten out of that space. Therefore he feels committing means he has to leave that life.

6. There is someone else

This one is painful. And it could also extend to someone who is unavailable. It could even be someone who is married and he still holds out a torch for her, hoping she will get divorced and rush to him. Or worse, he doesn’t mind being her side-dish or even a ‘Ben 10’. Sorry girl.

7. You are not part of his plans

Another whopper. He doesn’t see you in his future at all. It sounds like it is related to the number 3 but the reality here is that you are just not the person he ever sees in his future. He never imagines a scenario where you will exist in his world, never mind marrying you.
