Oh love.

It is one of those things isn’t it? It really does have that zing, that feeling and then at some point it just makes sense.

This where we are, where if you are not sure, and have not been in this space, there are five signs you have now entered a long-lasting part of your loving relationship.

1. You separate facts from feelings

When you get into a relationship, you sometimes come in with a lot of baggage from your past which reconfigured you. So what there is a bit of conflict, it is easy to get into your default settings. Now when the facts matter more, you see your partner with much greater clarity. And it makes life much easier.

2. Compassion is where you come from

When you see your partner from your position of compassion. You are open, connected, and more available to dialogue respectfully. When you do this, you allow your partner to be what they are without feeling the need to judge them. Learning them becomes easier.

3. Healing yourself is not dependent on them

When you are in early stage, it means you fell the need for your partner to fill your emotional holes. Your partner is your support system and they help you with that journey. In effect, the relationship becomes the conduit for the healing.

4. You make time for your relationship

A relationship will not work unless it is nurtured. So no matter how busy you are, you will make time for your partner. This most importantly means going on proper dates. And on top of that downtime together. That is critical because you want to be able to see each other in moments of chilling.

5. You can say difficult things from a place of love

This one is a biggie. Oftentimes people say difficult things when they want to win arguments. But this now allows you to speak from a position of affection. You love them and because of that you can say the most difficult things, for your sake. Your partner will also know that you have their best interests at heart.
