So in this fast-paced world, we get caught up and the romantic side of things can take a bit of a beating.
Well don’t fret because we have a bunch of really cool things you and your partner can do today to deepen the intimacy. Most of them will cost you nothing and the focus is on keeping you connected.
- Check out a different neighbourhood: So maybe you are used to having coffee in one place. Jazz things up a bit and find out what is happening in the next hood or something.
- Plan a themed dinner: French food, french wine and a French movie. At home.
- Cook your childhood meals: This gives opportunity to share old memories of your childhood that wouldn’t perhaps come up at home.
- A cocktail night… at home: Dress up, make your favourite cocktails. And make a night of it.
- Go off-grid: No TV, No WiFi, No phones. Just conversation. Lock the rest of the world out and just get deep into each other on a mental level. Do this once a week even.
- Board game night: Just the two of you, playing board games and really connecting on a deep level.
- Concert challenge: You each buy tickets to an event of each other’s choice. You get insights into your partner’s interests.
- Go see a play: Maybe you are used to movies. Do the other thing. Mix things up. Keep it interesting.
- Join a workout class: Working together to achieve targets will deepen the way you work together as a team.
- Sit outside and watch the stars: It is romantic as they say it is. Name stars if you want. And make wishes based on stars. Do the damn thing.
- Massages: And here go the whole nine yards. The oil, the music, whatever it is.
- Bake a cake for a specific reason: So an anniversary coming up? Bake a cake for that. And bake it together.
- Watch each others;’ favourite TV show: She likes wrestling and you like Isibaya. Well take time to watch each other’s shows.
- Teach each other a new hobby: It takes one out of comfort zones and allows intimacy.
- Pick up a random place on a map and visit it: It could be in another town. Just go and see it.
