Former South Africa Preside Jacob Zuma has been disqualified from standing for the upcoming elections, the country’s Constitutional Court has ruled.
They made the decision after the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) lodged an appeal against a lower court’s judgement.
The court found he was ineligible becaue of a criminal conviction.
The Electoral Court had allowed for Zuma to remain on the MK Party’s candidates’ list.
The decision means he cannot take a seat in Parliament.
