The controversial increase in the Zimsec examinations fees has been reversed.
In a secular signed by the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Cain Mathema, the fee increase which was roundly criticised has been cancelled with immediate effect.
The condemnation has reached to such an extent that the normally silent and rather seemingly ceremonial junior parliament had given the government a week to reverse the increase or face some sort of unspecified action.
Parents and guardians will pay the fees approved fees of 2015 and deadline days remain the same.
This is of course before ‘new fees’ are ‘announced after consultations have been made with all relevant stakeholders’.
