The National AIDS Council has announced an increase in HIV infections as well as condom use in Zimbabwe.
HIV infections now sit at 15% up from 14.26% while condom usage has topped 100 million.
Chief among those reasons was spousal separation, early marriage and risk perception.
Spousal separation was the main cause for highest prevalence being found in Matabeleland where partners move to South Africa and Botswana.
More than 1,2 million adults and children were last year said to be living with HIV and Aids while an estimated 657 000 were on Antiretroviral Therapy (ART).
The country recorded 45 621 HIV related deaths in 2012.
