Zimbabwe extends restaurant operating hours

The Zimbabwe government has announced relief for restaurant operators.

Restaurant operating hours have been extended to 21.00hrs from 19.00hrs. They will still have to operate at 50% sit-in capacity as well as for takeaways and deliveries.

Bars, pubs and nightclubs remain closed while bottle stores will only be allowed to operate as takeaway.

The announcement was made by Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Minister Monica Mutsvangwa, at a press conference after cabinet’s meeting on Tuesday.
