Zim Man Arrested In SA For Rape And Murder

Zimbabwean Manyere Jerry Shumba has been arrested on allegations of rape and murder in South Africa.

The 22 year-old Mberengwa man was arrested for the rape and murder of Nare Mashamaite, a Metro Rail train driver in South Africa, this after four months of investigations.

He had initially been arrested over the weekend for a series of housebreaking.

Mashamaite, 48, was raped and then strangled to death at Makhado station when she and her assistant stopped to check for faults. The assistant fled and when she returned with the police Mashamaite was already dead.

If this guy is guilty – he is already an embarrassment for stealing in that country – it is a such a shame especially when the mood in SA when it comes to foreigners is pretty ugly. Most Zimbabweans in that country are as pleasant as an old grandmother in Mutoko but this fella here is not a good look.
