Zimbabwe has a public holiday on 27 December 2022.

This was confirmed through GN 2021-851 PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND PROHIBITION OF BUSINESS ACT FOR 2022, published Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe on 30 April 2021.

Yep it was that far back.

That is because Christmas falls on Sunday and so the holiday is moved to the next free business day. With Boxing Day on Monday, it means a four-day weekend is still retained. And if one decides not to work from Unity Day (21 December 2022) day through, that means a six-day chill.

South Africa recently proclaimed 27 December a public holiday as well.
