The University of Zimbabwe has kicked 486 males out of residence on its campus after they staged a solidarity protest.
This was after the institution had suspended 5 students who were caught taking alcohol on the campus, which is against regulations. They were also found guilty of sub-letting accommodation.
The 486 will still be allowed to attend lessons and their situation will be reviewed later in the year.
What probably made things worse for the gang of 486 is that when one of the five students who were suspended came to collect his belongings, they staged a protest in which they went to the warden’s home and threatened to assault his wife. The warden was not in at the time.
Threatening a man’s wife in order for him to show leniency when you are wrong is probably not really a good look.
