The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has set the limit for the minimum amount one can buy when purchasing prepaid vouchers.
It goes up from $5 to $20, according to communication from mobile money services platform EcoCash.
This is with effect from 20 October 2019.
This comes on the back of a massive 227% increase in power tariffs recently with the threat of another one to come soon, according to sources.
Mind you, that $20 could last you the whole month if you live alone. What, with there rarely being any power being supplied to many households on tap anymore…
