Telecel ‘Fully Committed To Zimbabwe’

Telecel Zimbabwe has released a press statement following reports on a possible ‘closure’ over licensing issues.

In it the company says that it has taken reports of ‘its licensing and shareholding non-compliance, very seriously’ and is now engaging various stakeholders to find ‘a lasting solution’.

In a statement the company said that it ‘takes very seriously  its legal, financial, operational and social responsibilities’.

The company has over 2 million subscribers with over 1,000  permanent and contract workers and says it contributes $700,000  annually to CSR programmes,.

We hope this gets sorted out soon.
