Striking doctors suspended

The Health Service Board has suspended the 550 junior medical doctors and radiographers who have been on strike.

This is after they defied a Labour Court order telling them to get back to work in 12 hours.

Doctors have been on strike since 1 December over working conditions. Some of their demands include salaries in US dollars cash and access to medication for their patients.

Recently the government appointed vice president Constantino Chiwenga to head negotiations to bring an end to the impasse that has crippled services across the country.
