South Africa legalises growing and smoking weed at home

South Africa’s Constitutional Court has moved to legalise the growing and smoking of marijuana in the privacy of one’s home.

“Marijuana” by United States Fish and Wildlife Service – [1], specifically CASA1_LF.jpg. (If the links expire, the photo can be found by searching for “cannabis” at the GIMP photo archive.) The unanimous judgement was delivered than Deputy Chief Justice, Raymond Zondo to wild celebrations. The ruling says  Section 4b of drugs act is unconstitutional and invalid to the extent that it prohibits possession of dagga by adult in private for personal consumption in private.

The government now has 24 months to write this into law although private use is effective 18 September 2018.

Parliament will determine how much is defined as personal use and the works.

They’ll be blasting this in SA for sure, at least those who can get it:
