Schools Open on 8 January

So just because we have had a few people ask when schools are reopening, well it is 8 January 2013 as originally advertised.

There has been confusion over when they will reopen after there was a rumour that government has moved it to 14 January.

Education Minister Senator David Coltart wrote this on Facebook last night:

There have been a variety of rumours put out recently that the date of the opening of the first School term in Zimbabwe has changed, including a report to this effect in a local daily. These reports are false and there has been no change. For the sake of clarity I confirm that schools will open on Tuesday the 8th January 2013 as originally advised by the Permanent Secretary for Education early this year.

So that’s that then.
