Relief for restaurants as Zimbabwe relaxes alcohol restrictions for sit-in customers

The latest statutory instrument has presented a huge relief for restaurant owners in Zimbabwe.

They can now openly sell alcohol to customers who consume it on the premises.

Before they were only allowed to serve food.

The new statutory instrument 216 of 2020 sees a further relaxation of conditions as thecountry tries to open up more.

As it stands though, they have to close by 4.30pm which may mean people are getting plastered during the day.
