President Mugabe Signs Labour Amendment Into Law

Zimbabwe’s president Robert Mugabe has signed the labour amendment bill into law.

The amendment is meant to protect people from being randomly fired with notice following the 17 July Supreme Court judgement allowing this.

The bill was tabled in parliament last week and sailed through both houses without amendment.

Since 17 July over 20,000 people have been fired from their jobs using the court judgement.

Now we what for the cat and mouse game with changes being originally said to be retrospective as well.

This could be fun.
