Political Analyst John Makumbe Dies

Zimbabwean political analyst Professor John Makumbe has died.

It would appear that he suffered a heart attack on Saturday night and then passed away today.

Prof Makumbe was known for his witty analysis and had recently gone into active politics in the MDC-T party and was eyeing the Buhera West seat. He was a fierce campaigner against corruption.

His death has had many bemoaning the fact that politicians and analysts keep dying without more clarity being given to the history of Zimbabwe. There seems to be a wealth of knowledge being lost to the country.

May his soul rest in peace.
