NEW ZIMLOCKDOWN RULES: What you need to know

Zimbabwe had extended its level 2 lockdown restrictions.

There are changes which will be update every two weeks

Here is are the things you need to know about the latest iteration.

  • Status to be reviewed every two weeks depending on progress or lack of it.
  • Focus on preventative and case management strategies.
  • Face masks, sanitizers and washing of hands remain mandatory
  • Disinfecting of public places to continue.
  • Private sector tests to be done in line with the Ministry of Health and Child Care guidelines. You will need there to open business. Regular temperature and health checks for employees.
  • Informal sector to have phased opening
  • Mandatory quarantine for all returning citizens remains.
  • Businesses to operate from 8am-4:30pm.
  • Only exam classes are set to continue but schools remain closed for the rest. Phased opening strategy to continue
  • Churches, bars, beerhalls and gyms remain closed.
  • Mandatory tests for truck drivers.
  • Zupco buses and kombis remain the only mode of public transport. Kombis not under Zupco banned.
  • Low risk sports to start.
  • Public gatherings still banned
