Mthuli Ncube among some to win unopposed as Court rules against CCC candidates

Finance and Economic Development Minister Prof Mthuli Ncube is among those who look to be elected unopposed in the 2023 elections after the latest court ruling.

The High Court disqualified 12 CCC candidates from running in the August 23 elections in Bulawayo.

They filed their candidacy papers after the 4 p.m. deadline, according to Justice Bongani Ndlovu.

Other Zanu-Pf candidates to run unopposed are Bulawayo Central candidate Tendayi Charuka and Bulawayo South’s Rajeshkumari Modi.

Prof Ncube is running for the Cowdray Park constituency seat.

CCC are expected to appeal the judgement.
