It is currently north of Mauritius and is not yet a Tropical Cyclone.

It is currently a moderate tropical storm. It will make landfall in Madagascar in the next 24 hours before decreasing in intensity before re-emerging in the Mozambique channel on 21 January.

The trajectory that the system will take as well as its strength will vary greatly during the period and thereafter.

The MSD says it is monitoring the system.
