Mereki Reopens This Weekend

For the imbibers and the consumers of burnt meat in an open place, the good news is that Mereki is opening this weekend.

Seems as if some work has been done to make sure the place is a little more secure health-wise after the place was shut down two weeks ago. This was while the city tried to control the typhoid outbreak which has seen 1,000 people treated for the disease.

Local government rag, The Herald,  got a confirmation from Harare City Council spokesperson Leslie Gwindi.

We see the place being really busy this weekend as people celebrate the return of their beloved spot. For the sake of those who make a living from that place, we are happy.
