Mandela Undergoes Surgery

Nelson Mandela underwent endoscopic surgery on Saturday morning  to have gall stones removed, President Jacob Zuma’s office said in a statement.

Mandela has been in hospital for 8 days and there was growing unrest over the health of 94 year-old former South Africa president. In that period he was ‘killed’ a few times on social media.

He remains in hospital after the successful procedure.
