Man arrested for growing marijuana… at a church

Nope,

You didn’t read the headline wrong.

You read it correctly.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police(ZRP) have arrested a man after he was found growing marijuana at a church.

On 6 January, Police in Harare acted on received information and arrested Lawrence Mutizwa (54) in connection with unlawful cultivation of 700 plants of dagga at Pinancle Baptist Church Stand, Westlea.

Sure it is a stand, but it is holy ground. Someone could say he didn’t know but that is highly unlikely because in neighbourhoods like those, people will know whose land it is.

That Pinnacle Baptist Church owns it already, means it is part of the church and yeah it is what it is.

But then again, the crime of growing marijuana aside, is it that crazy?
