Man Arrested For Beating Up Policeman

A Bulawayo man has been arrested for bashing a policeman after she tried to arrest him for public drinking.

Bulawayo24 reports 23 year-old Bhekinkosi Ncube from Pumula South was not asked to plead when he appeared before a court. He was granted $50 bail.

It is said that Ncube was approached by Constable Musasa while drinking outside a city bar. In resisting arrest Ncube hit the policeman twice on the head before fellow policemen came to his rescue.

There seems to be an increase in resistance to police arrests. A few months ago a vendor bit a policeman to resist arrest after he was found selling porn.

Could it be that some people are now not recognising the authority of the uniform?
