Malawi President Airlifted to South Africa For Treatment

Sources say Malawi President Bingu Wa Mutharika who was admitted into hospital after cardiac arrest has been airlifted to South Africa for treatment.

With social media’s rumour mill –  and a Malawian opposition newspaper – going overtime claiming the Malawian leader’s death official sources says that he has been taken to South African after being admitted to the Kamuzu Central Hospital.

The story had become something of a special interest one after Nigerian ‘prophet’  TB Joshua had this past week said the sudden death of an African leader due to sickness was nigh. If Joshua should die, then this will boost Joshua’s ratings and bring him stratospheric success in ultra-religious Africa.

As it stands Vice President Joyce Banda, with whom he has a fractious relationship,  stands in wait to take over in the event of the demise of Mutharika.

His condition which was being treated as unstable earlier remains critical.
