Zesa announces loadshedding

The Zimbabwe Electricity Distribution and Transmission Company(Zetdc) has said it will implement loadshedding due to a fault at Hwange Power Station.

The nature of the fault or who will be most likely affected is not known except that the power cuts will happen between 1600hrs and 1900hrs. The less of shedding were also not made clear.

The fault has shed 200MW off the grid, the company, a subsidiary of the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (Zesa), said on Thursday.

Restoration of the affected area is under way.
