This was announced after the Cabinet meeting in Harare on Tuesday.

What will happen is that there will be a Heroes Day address by President Emmerson Mnangagwa on 10 August.

For the Defence Forces Day which will fall on 11 August, there will be two weeks of celebrations looking at what the army does not just, you know, army stuff, but in the community and all.

Zimbabwe usually holds elaborate celebrations for the two days which include all sorts of extensive things.

It is what it is.
