Harare City player convicted on drug dealing charges

A Harare City FC player has been convicted of dealing in dealing in dangerous drugs.

Jerry Chipangura has been convicted for dealing in dangerous drugs after he was found in possession of 40 grams of crystal meth (mutoriro)earlier this year.

The 24-year-old was arrested in July of this year and faced charges.

Polce approached Chipangura, along John Tapedza Road in Old Mabvuku, and requested to search a small bag and a satchel he was carrying and found crystal meth.

The amount of meth is said to have a street value of USD200,000.

He has been sentenced to 14 months in jail.

Crystal meth is widely abused in Zimbabwe, especially amongst young people.
