Former Cuba president Fidel Castro has died, state TV has announced.
No further details were given.
He was 90.
Castro ruled Cuba for 47 years after partnering with Che Guevara to remove Fulgencio Batistsa before handing power over to brother Raul in 2008.
A thorn in the flesh of many western powers, he was seen by most third world countries as a man who reshaped a nation via revolution handing it back to its people.
In the words of one Charly Maulana, he has handed over his beret and Communist handbook.
Rest In Peace comrade.
