DJ MUNYA: State Still Trying To Put Case Together

Murder-accused Dj Munyaradzi Milimo remains under remand after the state asked for more time to bring the case before the court.

A court in Harare through out a bid for Milimo for discharge but asked that the state state speed things up. The state now has until 19 February 2014 to get its house in order.

Toxicology and histology reports have stalled the case thus far with South African experts refusing to help. Local experts have been roped in, according to the state.

That the state is taking long makes you wonder if this case will be handled properly. For something of this nature you would think for the sake of closure for the family of the deceased and for Milimo himself as well as the state things would be handled much better. It’s another thing dates being messy but the fact that we still not have a case to talk about is just worrying.

It makes you wonder how diligent our systems are if they work in this rather lethargic manner.

Milimo is accused of being the mastermind behind the death of Tinashe Magorimbo early last year. The state say there is a nexus between Milimo and two other suspects Taurai Jani and Mohammed Matare who they believe he paid off to kidnap the deceased after which he  died by way of poisoning.

Milimo and the co-accused deny these allegations
