Dewani Extradition Hearing To Be ReOpened

Honeymoon killer suspect Shrien Dewani has won the right to have an appeal against his extradition reopened by the High Court in the UK.

Dewani’s extradition to South Africa was ordered in July of this year.

Dewani is accused of plotting to kill 28-year-old Anni, who was shot in Cape Town in November 2010.

His extradition was first ordered in 2011.

And it is technicality. It is on whether Dewani is considered an “accused” under Britain’s Extradition Act and whether he is fit enough mentally to face trial.

Anni’s family has been quoted in the BBC as seeking closure in the whole matter, a full 3 years after her death. Her mother and sister have expressed disappointment with the British justice system following the multiple delays in getting Dewani extradited.

It must really take its toll on the family.

We are not fans of Dewani here especially after his comments on Africa in his defence against extradition.
