Zimbabwe’s government has said it has made sure Covid-19 test results are released expeditiously at its airports.
The announcement was made at the 35th Cabinet Decision Matrix on Tuesday said that Lancet, the company given the contract at Victoria Falls International Airport, had committed to giving Covid-19 test results in two hours.
This will apply to departing and arriving passengers.
The Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport (Harare) and Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Airport (Bulawayo) have similar private and public facilities.
The Covid-19 task force will now be dispatched to land and air ports of entry to assess readiness to handling large numbers.
