Former Zimbabwe Presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has distanced himself from a ‘God Is In It’ meme coin.

Chamisa says his X account, which had posted the ‘launch’ was hacked.

“To my fellow citizens, I wish to kindly inform you that my X (formerly Twitter) account has been hacked and compromised by cybercriminals, Chamisa said via his WhatsApp channel.

“Our cybersecurity team is working diligently with X support team to fix this problem, regain control and implement remedial measures. We will keep you updated on the status of the account recovery and any actions being taken.~nc.”

According to Britanicca, “Meme coins are digital currencies inspired by literal memes or other cultural phenomena. Meme coins typically use standard blockchain protocols, but unlike cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, they don’t have any serious financial or technological purpose.”

Doge, DJT (Donald Trump’s coin) are among the most famous coins.
