29 January 2021: 306 new Covid-19 cases, 18 deaths

New Covid-19 infections as well deaths of people with it continued to decline in Zimbabwe until new data from the Ministry of Health and Child Care.

306 new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Friday, with Harare’s 93 the highest.

There were 18 deaths, down from 38 the day before. Manicaland with seven recorded the highest fatalities.

453 new recoveries were recorded meaning that active cases dropped to 6,902.

As at 29 January 2021, Zimbabwe had 32,952 confirmed cases, including 24,872 recoveries and 1,178 deaths.

Zimbabwe is currently under a lockdown with curfews and stay-at-home orders that runs until 15 February 2021. The conditions are as set out below.
