2019, 2020 media cards still valid – ZMC

The Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC) has issued a statement on media cards under the current pandemic.

On the 5th of January 2021, it issued a statement regarding the accreditation of journalists and other media practitioners.

In the statement the ZMC announced that the 2019 and 2020 media cards are still valid and can be used. The reasoning for this being that the ZMC faced challenges in issuing out accreditation cards because of the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020. As such, the ZMC also faced challenges in rolling out the 2020 registration especially to those practitioners outside of Harare.
