Zimbabwe compared its recorded its first moment with more recoveries than cases as active ones dipped below 10,000.
322 new cases – all local except for one from Botswana – and 640 new recoveries were recorded resulting in 9,978 catches.
30 deaths happened, 14 in Harare were reported.
As at 17 January 2021, Zimbabwe had 27 203 confirmed cases, including 16 512 recoveries and 713 deaths
Zimbabwe is currently under 30-day lockdown with curfews and stay at home orders.
