101 year-old found guilty of child sex offences

At 101 years old, Ralph Clarke is probably the oldest person to be convicted  of a crime in British legal history.

He faces jail time after being found guilty of 21 child sex offences committed against two young girls in 1970s and 1980s. This is on top of the 9 he admitted relating to a young boy half way through his trial in Birmingham.

The retired lorry driver was described as ‘utterly remorseless’ by Det Con Emma Fennon, who works on a special historical sexual offences team for West Midlands Police when quoted in the Birmingham Mail.

There are fears of other victims who have not come forward.

He is expected to be sentenced next week.

Never too late to put a sicko away!
