1 March 2021: 26 new Covid-19 infections, five deaths, 2,163 vaccinations

Zimbabwe registered its first fatalities related to Covid-19 in three days according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Child Care published on Monday.

Five people succumbed from complications related to the respiratory infection.

Meanwhile there were 26 new cases recorded.

With 239 recoveries, it brings the number of active cases down to 1,742.

There were 2,163 vaccinations bringing the total to 21,456.

As at 1 March 2021, Zimbabwe had 36,115 confirmed cases, including 32,905 recoveries and 1,468 deaths.
