Zimbabwe to charge USD60 for Covid-19 tests at ports of entry

Zimbabwe has announced that it will levy a charge of USD60 for individuals at its ports of entry as the country opens up to international travel.

The tests critically will be carried out on people showing Covid-19 systems whether they have a a certificate showing they are negative or not.

The levy is said to be going towards replenishing laboratory commodities.

SI 216(5) Section 8, requires travellers showing COVID-19 symptoms, whether or not they have a covid-19-free certificate to be tested, a nominal fee of US$60 be levied on travellers tested at ports of entry.

In announcing the same, Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Monica Mutsvangwa said the Victoria Falls Airport will reopen on 1 October 2020. The assessment of other major airports has been completed.

Oh, throw in the fact that metered taxis can move around now.
