Zimbabwe records first Covid-19 recovery

Zimbabwe has recorded its first recovery from Covid-19, the Ministry of Health and Child Care has confirmed.

Via its daily briefing the ministry said under a World Health Organisation, two negative tests in 24 hours allowed for the person to get out of self-isolation and back into the general population. The case number and location of the recovered case was not identified.

61 tests in total were conducted with one coming out positive bringing the total to 18. Three of them have died.

To date 665 tests have been conducted.

The national toll free hotline is 2019.
