So it turns out having a vasectomy could increase your chances of getting fatal prostrate cancer, a study has revealed.
Harvard School of Public Health experts they found a 10% increased risk of getting the deadly condition if one got snipped.
This was discovered from regular checks of over 50,000 men over a 24 year period. 6,023 cases were discovered and 811 men died.
The risk was even higher for those who got the snip aged 38 years and under.
They did say the extra risk appeared small in the grand scheme of things but it was deadly.
The research appears in the Online Journal of Oncology
Quick side-note: The risk does mean that one has to have multiple tests before having a vasectomy. Mind you they say the risk is higher in men under the age of 38 and under. Wondering why one would have a vasectomy under the age of 38 though.
Somewhere in a house out there, this is going to be an argument.
