Scientists have now figured out how long a weed high lasts

It is something that many people will have different answers to.

How long does a weed (marijuana) high last?

A meta-analysis of 80 papers conducted by the University of Sydney (USYD) in Australia has helped us along with this. 1,534 “performance outcomes” from people who had taken marijuana we analysed. The focus was the potent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) found in marijuana.

Other factors also included whether the weed was inhaled or taken orally in the form of food, capsules, or drops. Also too, whether the person was an occasional or regular user of cannabis.

Depending on how much weed is consumed and its potency, a person can remain high for between three and ten hours.

It must also be noted that regular users built up a resistance, so they could perform functions without being impaired in shorter times.

The information should help doctors when dealing medicinal users and the advice to give to recreational ones so that they are able to conduct regular activity after partaking.

The research has been published in Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews.
