The daily figures for new Covid-19 cases jumped to three figures, according to new data provided by the Ministry of Health and Child Care on Wednesday.
There were 111 new cases and five deaths recorded, numbers that take us back to the recent hard lockdown.
The data situated a lot of the new cases in Mashonaland West (40) and Masvingo (19).
Given the data does not say how widespread these infections go, it has created the fear of a third hard lockdown. The government has so far said there are no plans afoot for that.
Still, Namibia’s health minister said the country was going into its third wave, while South Africa reached 8,881 new cases for the first time in two months..
There were more new recoveries than new infections though…
