#Covid19Zim: 3 deaths, 1756 recoveries recorded on Monday

Zimbabwe announced three deaths and 47 new confirmed Covid-19 cases on Monday 17 August 2020.

The deaths were recorded in Bulawayo, Mashonaland East and Manicaland. It brings to 135 the total umber of deaths.

Of the new cases, 42 were local transmissions while five were returnees from South Africa.

A total 1756 recoveries were recorded. 1,698 of those were in Harare which had not seen follow-ups in a while. The total number of recoveries are now 3,848.

As it stands Bulawayo as a city leads with 306 cases. Matabeleland South however has the most cases with 444. Harare is now down to 197.

Cumulative cases now sit at 5,308 with 1,325 as active cases.
